Matt has always loved birds. As a child, he would spend hours outside watching and listening to them. He even kept a birding journal, documenting all the different species he saw. When he went to college, he studied biology with a focus on ornithology. After graduation, he worked as a birding guide and then as the editor of BirdingLab. He is passionate about bird conservation and enjoys working to educate others about these amazing creatures.
